Steve's Bio

Steve Nagle became a fitness instructor at the YMCA in Vancouver in 1977.  After moving to Campbell River in 1982 he established the extremely successful Sportfit fitness class at C.R. Parks and Recreation Dept. and the class has run twice a week from September to May ever since.  2007 marked the 25th anniversary of the class.  Steve attributes the success of the Sportfit class to his unique blend of challenging exercises that can be adapted for all levels and a great sense of fun.

Steve became a weight training instructor in 1990 and subsequently became a personal trainer.  Steve is passionate about fitness and health.  He has the ability to motivate others to live a healthier lifestyle and improve their quality of life.  He believes that personal fitness should not be tied to fancy equipment or limited by facility schedules.  Fitness should be simple and adaptable and should fit into everyone’s daily life.

Steve started running in 1974 and has completed several marathons.  In 1997 he took up the sport of triathlon and has now completed five Ironman's. Besides running and triathlon Steve loves to snowboard, mountain bike, hike and scuba dive.  His strong background in outdoor activities gives him the ability and knowledge to train clients in many different sports.  He tells his clients “Be prepared to change”,  change to a healthier lifestyle, new sport or new goals. If you are ready to start making changes you can contact Steve at 250-287-6158.
